Sirius from Tennessee is May's Lucky Winner!

I strongly believe in paying it forward.   In that vain, each month one animal from the epi4dogs family will be selected for a free Reiki session.    Our lucky winner for May is Sirius from Tennessee, who was entered in the drawing by his person, Geralda.    Some months I will be posting excerpts from the Reiki session to show and teach people what can happen during a Reiki session (each animal is different and every session will also be different).   Thank you Geralda for the opportunity to share Sirius' session with others.

"Many thanks to Sirius for a wonderful Reiki Session this morning and to his person, Geralda, for being open enough to welcome Reiki into Sirius' life.    Reiki is not something you "do" - it is something you share - it is a space from your heart that you create and invite others to join you in.   This morning's session with Sirius was different from most others I have shared with animals.  Typically, I would work with the chakras, sensing where any imbalancement may be and I would work with that chakra to create balance.   Sirius had something different in mind - and I followed the Reiki.   As I moved from one chakra to another he just kept taking me deeper and deeper into his place of stillness, into a place where there was complete peace.   There are seven main chakras and I work from the crown (top) to the root (bottom).   By the time I was at the sacral chakra (one away from root) he was with me so deep in the peaceful place I felt like we were one with everything - we ceased to exist as we are known.   This is the place deep healing takes place from the inside out.   As the session ended, tears of joy, gratitude, and immense love flowed from me.   

After the session I spoke with Geralda about what transpired.   Interestingly, Sirius is a strong-willed boy breed for schutzhund.  The beauty of Reiki is that there are many levels to us, we portray one side to the world and there are many other dimensions in us.  It was such a gift to me that a strong-willed dog submitted to Reiki and was willing to share in the perfect peaceful place created by Reiki.   I know Sirius received a gift of healing today and with all I am I thank him for our experience.   

As I work with each animal they become my teacher and I the student.   I wish each of you and your beautiful animals the Blessings of the Universe Sirius and I shared today."
